Job Description
Prepares complex monthly accounting journal entries.
Prepares monthly account reconciliations.
Oversees and/or processes the monthly close cycle.
Creates, updates, reviews, investigates and distributes schedules and financial reports pertaining to various phases of accounting functions.
Coordinates the preparation, analysis and verification of complex accounting reports to support responses to data requests in connection with regulatory filings and audits.
Ensures that all transactions are properly supported and are in accordance with GAAP, FERC, SOX, and other regulatory requirements.
May provide guidance, direction and training to other employees engaged in similar activities as well as other internal customers.
Documents accounting procedures, processes and internal controls. Reviews for effectiveness and recommends revisions as necessary.
