Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Laboratory Services, Operations Coordinator and Laboratory Manager, the Specimen Processor registers and orders patient tests in computer system(s).


Core Job Responsibilities


+ Picks-up and/or processes specimens for laboratory testing and routes them to the appropriate department

+ Perform receptionist duties, maintains records and files, prints, faxes and mails patient reports

+ Obtains follow up information on any and all missing insurance and/or demographic information

+ Verify all applicable insurances through appropriate verification system

+ Maintain records and files in designated areas throughout the lab. Scans scripts/requisitions/orders during every registration.
