Specialist Technical Officer (Planning)/ Enforcement Officer – Derby

This is a full‑time role on a temporary contract basis.

Responsibilities

1. Deal with planning applications including the critical appraisal and review of reports for the discharge of planning conditions.
2. Inspect premises and enforce statutory provisions, ensure compliance with the authority’s statutory obligations, and provide guidance, information and training to aid compliance.
3. Prepare, monitor and authorise legal and other documentation, and instigate legal proceedings to ensure compliance with the authority’s statutory obligations.
