Job Description
Responsibilities
- Attend patients aged from birth to the 28th day of life or more if necessary, including cases of all degrees of complexity, according to approved standards of medical practice.
- Perform clinical duties of a neonatologist, including assessment and reassessment of patients, conducts daily rounds to patients in the hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Nursery, performs general or special examinations and other procedures covering the full scope of neonatology.
- Order laboratory and radiological examinations, determine diagnosis, prescribe medications, advise nursing and dietary care as necessary, and apply preventive measures as required.
- Provide in‑patient care to newborns and attend difficult delivery or cesarean section deliveries.
- Offer consultation and referral services to in‑patient services in the area of expertise.
