Responsibilities

• Provide surgical care including diagnosis, pre‑operative care, all major and minor operative procedures, and post‑surgery care in an orthopedic setting.
• Provide professional care of assigned patients and consult on complex cases.
• Participate in the professional aspects of the Department to ensure compliance with established standards of the Department of Health (DOH) and Joint Commission International (JCI).
• Work under the general direction of the Head of Department (HOD), report, and receive guidance.
• Work independently on technical and professional assignments, keeping the HOD informed of problems encountered and actions taken.
• Ensure established medical, ethical, and legal procedures are followed.
• Monitor the care of all patients receiving surgical treatment provided by the orthopedic Department to assure standards are met.
