The Specialist, Classification and Terminologies participates in the development, maintenance and operationalization of national clinical classification standards and clinical terminologies to enable high quality, interoperable health data. Working in a matrixed environment, the Specialist applies technical coding expertise to implement and evolve ICD-10-CA, CCI and related work including ICD 11 evaluation, participating in mapping and subset activities with SNOMED CT and other terminologies. This role supports eQuery responses and education, and helps integrate standards into CIHI products and electronic health records/systems.
