**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

As a Medical Special Precautions Nurse at SJHMC, you'll play a crucial role in our patient care team. Your expertise will be instrumental in caring for patients admitted to our unit, many of whom are funneled in from other units. This unique patient mix provides an excellent opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency.

The Visual Monitoring Unit is a 10 bed specialized unit for medical surgical telemetry patients with special precautions to help keep the staff and patients safe. Some of the patients have a secondary mental health diagnosis.The VMU has their own care coordination staff and security. This is an interesting unit where no two days are the same.
