Purpose of the position:

To assist the teacher in matters essential to the efficient and effective operation of the classroom.

• Assist the teacher/supervisor in meeting and instructing assigned classes in the location and at times designated.
• Assist the teacher/supervisor in developing and maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided by the district.
• Assist the teacher/supervisor in preparing for classes assigned.
• Assist the teacher/supervisor in using a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
