The Sourcing Specialist works to ensure that purchased parts are sourced as needed for the Vertiv Procurement team following the category strategy of the Commodity Manager. They will execute sourcing activities including local sourcing, RFQs, ERP part setup (data enrichment), part qualifications, and looking for cost reductions as part of cross-functional teams.

The objective is for this role to execute the material sourcing function of product transitions, second source needs and outsourcing requirements for Vertiv.

• Leads and executes RFQs with suppliers. Negotiate/aid in supplier negotiation process with goal of maximizing continuity of supply, minimizing lowest total cost, and optimizing quality.
• Search for and provide local/regional sourcing options to meet project requirements.
• Identify and present cost reduction opportunities for purchased items.
