Job Summary

Under direction, is responsible for performing supervisory work in planning, organizing, directing, and inspecting solid waste collection routes and/or the processing of refuse collected. Exercises direct supervision over assigned crews. Work Location Warehouse - 6802 Culebra Road, San Antonio, TX 78238 Work Hours 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday - Wednesday

Essential Job Functions

• Directs operations of solid waste routes, ensuring that the refuse is transferred in the manner stipulated by the Texas Department of Health, local ordinances, and the Solid Waste Division.
• Plans and schedules work assignments, including the establishing performance standards for work crews, directing the utilization of equipment, conducting periodic counts of new home occupancy, and designing routes to balance the work loads.
• Examines City Public Service work orders to identify customers entitled to pick-up services.
