Description
As a Soft Goods Technician at Impulse, you will be responsible for soft goods and multi-layer insulation (MLI) builds for spacecraft.
Responsibilities
- Hand cutting and forming soft goods materials such as films and fabrics
- Sort, stack, tape, and assemble multi-layer insulation products
- Apply functional modifications such as conductive grounding pads & mounts, grommets, vent paths, filters, straps, and re-closable fasteners
- Utilize tools such as hand punches, cutting blades, scissors, hammers, rivet squeezers, and heat sealers
- Operate equipment such as sewing machines and drill presses
- Operate cutting machines for sheet materials
- Interface with engineering to identify work instructions and recommend engineering improvements
