I live in Harbeson, Delaware with my family and have two children — a high schooler who is pretty self sufficient and an elementary school-aged son who is on the autism spectrum. Our elementary schooler is high-functioning and independent, and we are looking for a part-time nanny to support him on weekday afternoons. The position is approximately 20 hours per week.
The main job would be picking my child up from school bus stop and helping them get settled at home in the afternoon. That includes helping with basic homework, providing transportation to and from after-school karate, and just being a fun, kind, and reliable presence for my child during those after-school hours.
