+ Control conveyors that run the entire length of shuttle cars to distribute loads as loading progresses

+ Maneuver shuttle cars into position for loading and unloading

+ Position material handling equipment

+ Drive loaded shuttle cars to conveyors, having full awareness of other miners, mining equipment, power cable, and move controls to discharge loads onto conveyors

+ Observe hand signals, light signal, grade stakes, or other markings when operating machines

+ Signal others to coordinate vehicle movement

+ Clean, fuel, and service equipment, and repair and replace parts as necessary

+ Clean machinery or equipment

+ Monitor loading processes to ensure that materials are loaded according to mining conditions

+ Follow Company Policies, State, and Federal Laws


Requirements

2 + years experience as a Shuttle Car Operator

Current Underground MSHA Experienced Miner Training
