Purpose of the Job: To supervise a section of the workings of the mine in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act Regulation 2.15.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent is essential
• Blasting Certificate essential
• Shift Supervisor Certificate is essential
• 1-3 years' experience as a Miner is essential

Competencies

• Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to basic health and safety principles the workplace.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of the causes of Falls of Ground (FOG).
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Platinum Safety Rules.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, regulations and definitions.
