Senior Tailings Engineer – Midrand – Full time

WSP is seeking a senior level Tailings Engineer to join our Mine Waste team. The position involves leading complex tailings and geotechnical projects and providing expert technical guidance to clients within the mining industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain subject‑matter expertise in tailings and geotechnical engineering at regional or national level, including project management.
• Make complex decisions and provide input on office or regionally significant decisions.
• Lead project direction for large‑budget and complex projects, including contract negotiation, strategic needs identification, and technical direction.
• Maintain a broad client base and actively pursue new business opportunities.
