2019–23 Work Programme

The current research programme focuses on three key development challenges: Transforming Economies, Transforming States, and Transforming Societies, with three cross‑cutting concerns: Fragility and Risk, Empowerment, and Knowledge and Capacity. Specific sub‑topics include informality, productive job creation, public expenditure and tax incidence, causes and consequences of state ineffectiveness, market failures and remedies, natural resource wealth management, women’s economic and social empowerment, social mobility, migration, environment, energy and climate.
