In Haugesund, we have 13 laboratories divided into ultrasound, CT, MRI, mammography, nuclear medicine, intervention, and general X-ray. The section uses SECTRA RIS/PACS. The section has 16 senior physician positions (consultants) and 7 positions for doctors specializing in radiology (residents).
The Radiology Department has overall responsibility and joint operation of senior physician resources for all radiological activities at the hospitals in Helse Fonna: Haugesund, Stord, and Odda. The Radiology Department focuses on efficiency and high quality in healthcare.
Main tasks will be general radiology within thorax/abdomen/pelvis, and also neuroradiology. Participation in the current on-call duty arrangement, which is currently 11-part.
