Our client, an organization serving the community for over four decades, is seeking a Payroll Accountant to support accurate and timely payroll processing and related accounting functions. This role is responsible for bi-weekly payroll for approximately 220 employees, including direct deposits, garnishments, benefits, 401(k) loans, and other deductions, as well as month-end payroll accounting, reconciliations, payroll tax filings, and audit support. RESPONSIBILITIES Process bi-weekly payroll, including reviewing employee timesheets to verify timekeeping records, wages, and PTO accruals, and resolving any discrepancies Prepare final paychecks in accordance with state labor code Ensure timely and accurate retirement loan repayments and garnishments Prepare monthly payroll journals and year end accruals and upload to Sage Intacct Perform quarter end reconciliation on all payroll liability and advance accounts Support payroll tax filings and annual audits Work with HR to perform quarter...
