Role and Responsibilities

• Monitor and administer enterprise LAN/WAN, data center, and wireless environments (Nexus, Catalyst, ASA/Firepower, SD WAN).
• Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve L1–L3 network incidents and performance issues; escalate to vendors as needed.
• Manage IP addressing, VLANs, trunking, EtherChannel/Port Channel, VPC, and routing adjacencies (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP).
• Maintain and optimize Cisco Nexus switching (e.g., 5K/7K/9K), including VPC, HSRP/VRRP, fabric modules, and FEX.
• Support firewall rule changes, NAT, site to site and remote access VPNs; collaborate with security on policy enforcement.
• Ensure network monitoring, alerting, and logging are operational (e.g., SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, ThousandEyes, NetFlow).
• Provide on call support within a rotation and support scheduled after hours changes.
