Senior Heavy Mechanical Engineer – Canada

AECOM is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Senior Heavy Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design, integration, and implementation of major mechanical equipment for hydroelectric power plants and water retention structures, both for new developments and for rehabilitation and modernization projects. The systems involved include gates and stoplogs, trash racks, lifting mechanisms, winches, overhead cranes, material handling systems, and associated auxiliary equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a senior technical reference in heavy mechanical engineering for hydroelectric and dam projects.
• Define design criteria and design bases for mechanical systems and ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes.
• Perform or supervise calculations, analyses, and equipment selection.
• Prepare, review, and approve technical deliverables (studies, drawings, tender documen...
