The Windows and Devices (W+D) business consists of the Windows Device Licensing and the Surface first party businesses, which account for roughly $20B of revenue each year. Windows is of critical strategic importance to Microsoft, as it is the bedrock upon which all of Microsoft’s Consumer (Search, Office and Gaming) and Commercial (Data & AI, Infrastructure, Modern Work, Biz apps) businesses reside.
