We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Underwriter to strengthen our facultative reinsurance division. The ideal candidate brings over a decade of experience in engineering (re)insurance, with a proven ability to assess complex risks and develop tailored reinsurance solutions. Your core focus will be to underwrite and grow a profitable portfolio, leveraging your technical acumen and regional market insights.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and expand a profitable facultative engineering portfolio across Sub-Saharan Africa.
2. Analyze and evaluate risks to provide sound reinsurance solutions in line with internal guidelines.
3. Cultivate senior-level relationships with key clients and brokers to secure new business opportunities.
4. Act as a technical mentor to junior underwriters and provide internal training and market insights.
5. Conduct risk surveys and prepare detailed technical reports as needed.
