Under technical direction, the Senior Claims Adjuster efficiently manages moderate to high complexity of Transportation Liability claims (Motor Truck Cargo Legal Liability and Freight Forwarder Legal Liability). The incumbent will work within specific limits of authority on assignments of technical complexity. They will utilize claims policies and guidelines, review coverages, determine liability and compensability, and secure information.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines.

Interprets policy terms and conditions and determines if coverage applies to claims submitted, escalating issues as needed.

Sets activities, reserves and authorizes payments within scope of authority. Ensures issuance of disbursements while managing expenses.
