Band 6 Senior Cardiorespiratory Physiologist – CPET (Mavacamten clinic)

The role is based at the Barts Heart Centre in the City and involves conducting cardiopulmonary exercise tests (CPET) to support the expanding mavacamten clinic. It also includes operational support of clinical triaging and quality assurance in CPET and opportunities to assist and develop in areas of non‑invasive cardiac physiology.

Main duties of the job

As a key member of the CPET service, you will:

• Perform and interpret CPET in a complex cardiac population, including patients with cardiomyopathy and congenital heart disease.
• Conduct and report CPET combined with stress echocardiography.
• Interpret electrocardiograms (ambulatory ECG, exercise testing) and spirometry.
• Carry out full lung function testing and capillary blood gas sampling.
