Job Description
Job Summary:
+ Coordinating OR Surgical Cases for Plastic Surgery Surgeons
+ Schedules into EPIC any procedures which will occur at University Hospital. Coordinates requires Pre-Admission Testing and Anesthesia linked appointments.
+ Works in conjunction with billing office to ensure that appropriate referrals or authorizations have been obtained and documentation completed via EPIC.
+ Obtains authorization for clinic procedures, insurance verification, maintains referrals work queue and EPIC depot.
+ Scheduling outpatient procedures, such as: CT, X-rays.
+ Responsible for live scheduling patients for surgery while at clinic consults. Provides patient all preparation documentation including bowel prep instructions, anesthesia instructions, medication instructions, and pre and post op, pretesting, and telemedicine appointment details.
