Position overview

The Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the business with reliable reporting. This role requires strong autonomy, attention to detail, and solid full-cycle accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records
• Manage accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R)
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Process payments, including wire transfers and supplier payments
• Prepare and submit GST/PST and other government remittances
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and support audit requirements
• Manage insurance-related accounting tasks (renewals, certificates, claims follow-ups)
