Senior Accountant Position

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join an accounting firm. Must have a B Com: Accounting, completed articles, Pastel and Caseware experience.

Duties & Responsibilities Reconcile all balance sheet accounts Cashbook entries, journal postings and month end procedures Creditors and debtor’s reconciliation Maintain fixed asset register Reconcile VAT reports to the GL and submit VAT returns Cashflow statements Management accounts Provisional tax calculations Compile AFS and tax computations for Close Corporations, Companies, Trusts and Sole proprietors on Caseware; including all accounting work, recon of balance sheet accounts Submit annual tax returns for Close corporations and Private companies Plan jobs and supervise team members Manage and assist Junior Accountants Assist the Partners in the fulfilment of their duties and staff in technical and computer matters Desired Experience & Qualifications B.
