Job Description
SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
Prospero Teaching are working closely with a new specialist SEN school site based in Wimborne to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3, helping them re-engage with learning and rebuild confidence in education.
This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role, ideal for individuals with strong behaviour management skills and a genuine passion for pastoral support, mentorship, and re-engagement. Pupils may present with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) and Autism, alongside complex emotional or behavioural needs, and require consistent, calm, and structured support throughout the school day.
The school provides a nurturing, therapeutic environment with small class sizes, where Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in helping pupils regulate emotions, develop positive relationships, and re-engagement with learning.
This role would particularly suit candidates...
