SEMH Teaching Assistant
Southwark
Β£109 - Β£115 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full time, long-term temporary
Long Term Futures is seeking a resilient and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to students who are on the ASD spectrum and displaying challenging behaviours. The role itself will involve dealing with challenging behaviours, emotional regulations and barriers to learning which you will help overcome.
This position is ideal for someone who has experience in this setting and has high resilience to reap the benefits.
About the Role:
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and SLT your duties will include:
* Supporting students who have SEMH needs
* Providing consistent guidance and emotional regulation
* Providing 1:1 support and small group based work
* Working in hubs where provisions are in place for supporting students with ASD
