We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Croydon. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
Β· Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs
Β· Assist the class teacher in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Β· Implement behaviour support strategies and personalised learning plans
Β· Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support emotional regulation
Β· Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Β· Support pupils during transitions, break times, and throughout the school day
