Summary This position is located in the Office of Ship Operations, Office of the Deputy Associate Administrator for Federal Sealift, Office of the Associate Administrator for Strategic Sealift, Maritime Administration (MARAD). This position is established to protect and prevent loss of materials and ensure that no unauthorized access to the facility is gained. The employee is responsible for protecting federally owned or leased buildings and property and controlling access to Federal installations. Responsibilities The Security Guard: Patrols assigned limited and exclusion areas on foot or by vehicle, maintaining constant surveillance over areas being protected. Controls the ingress and egress of personnel, vehicles, and property into all areas of the compound and offices.
