Under supervision of the Weld Shop Lead, or Marine Repair Superintendent, the seamstress designs, makes, alters, repairs, or fits marine canvas and upholstery. Ensures that the fit, alter, repair, make, and made-to-measure canvas meets customers' and/or manufacturers' specifications and desires. The Seamstress's responsibilities are to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and on time. They work with industrial sewing machines, needles, and custom equipment to fabricate tailored customer requests. They work as a team and understand the daily mission and processes of providing excellent customer service to the customer .
