Purpose of Role:

The Scrum Master is a critical delivery enablement role responsible for ensuring the effective flow of work through the delivery team. The role exists to support predictable, high‑quality delivery by applying Agile and Scrum practices while actively enabling the team through strong coordination, clarity of work, and removal of impediments.

The Scrum Master acts as the front door for new work entering the team, ensuring requests are triaged, understood at an appropriate level of detail, and ready for delivery. The role requires sufficient technical and delivery context to coordinate dependencies, support sizing and sequencing of work, and actively unblock the team. This role is embedded within the team and focuses on team‑level delivery rather than programme or train‑level orchestration.
