Job Responsibilities:

• Transcribes and enters medical data quickly and accurately while patients are being examined in the office.
• Charts in real-time as the provider assesses and examines patients.
• Reviews records using accurate spelling, correct grammar, and completeness before they are sent to the physician for review and signing.
• Pulls up information in the electronic medical record for the physician to review.
• Acquires and maintains a general understanding of medical terminology and billing/coding practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Education: High School diploma required; students working toward an advanced degree in healthcare are preferred candidates. Able to type at least 45 words per minute. Strong customers service skills.
