Overview

Full‑time permanent Scientist position within the Clinical Virology Team, Health Group. Based at Wallaceville Science Centre, Upper Hutt, the role involves scientific and diagnostic testing through routine and non‑routine laboratory analysis of clinical samples for diagnostic, surveillance and research purposes. You will perform virology and serology techniques while adhering to standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non‑routine laboratory analysis of clinical samples for diagnostics, surveillance and research.
• Use virology and serological techniques in accordance with SOPs.

Qualifications

• Appropriate tertiary science qualification.
• Registration with the New Zealand Medical Sciences Council as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and a current annual practising certificate.
