Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable contractor seeking a SCADA Engineer to join their Control Systems team in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities Developing specifications and concept designs for SCADA components and system architecture. Reviewing and integrating third-party SCADA systems with overall plant control systems. Configuring Power Plant Controllers (PPC) and ensuring compliance with utility grid codes. Proficiency in PLC / HMI programming (TIA Portal Eco Struxure Codesys). Proven experience in PPC configuration and commissioning (Siemens Schneider DEIF etc.). Solid understanding of Modbus TCP / IP IECDNP3 OPC UA. Familiar with grid-tied logic and system-level control schematics. Willingness to travel for site work and system commissioning. Experience with solar PV or renewable projects; experience in hybrid or BESS systems is a plus. Qualifications National Diploma or Bachelors in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering.
