This role partners closely with Legal, Records Retention, Audit, Infrastructure, and SAP Functional teams, and provides guidance to junior archiving resources.
Key Responsibilities
Own and evolve the enterprise SAP data archiving and ILM strategy (ECC and S/4 HANA, including RISE environments)
Design and govern data lifecycle policies (residence vs. retention) in collaboration with Legal and Corporate Records teams
Lead configuration and execution of SAP archiving objects (FI, CO, MM, SD, HR, Logistics, Technical objects)
Ensure archiving completeness (archive + delete) and prevent data growth regression
Monitor, tune, and optimize archiving jobs for performance, reliability, and throughput
Partner with Basis, Infrastructure, and HANA teams to reduce database growth and improve system stability
Provide oversight for archived data accessibility (ADK/Archive Link/Open Text, reporting, audit access)
