Laboratory Assistant
Job Description

+ Receive and unload incoming samples or consignments in accordance with DOT regulations. Verify receipt against Chain of Custody (COC) documentation, match samples to corresponding quotes, and document any discrepancies daily.

+ Review COCs for accuracy and completeness; identify and resolve any inconsistencies. Log samples into the Laboratory Management System daily to assign lot numbers for tracking and distribute documentation to Project Managers.

+ Label samples clearly using assigned lot numbers and deliver them to the appropriate laboratories for analysis.

+ Prepare and assemble bottle kits for client use in sample collection, ensuring all procedures comply with EPA and DOT requirements.

+ Coordinate shipment of samples to external laboratories when testing is not performed onsite, ensuring full compliance with DOT regulations.
