Conditions: Herberton is a 38 bed facility located on the Atherton Tablelands . It provides patient centred palliative care, aged care and a respite service. 3 ward rounds per week but if Dr unfamiliar with it and ieMR may need one daily . You are the only doctor. After hrs on call for Herberton Hospital which is a nursing home, Mon to Friday . Public out patient clinic, one half day per week using Communicare and the rest is general practice with some time allocated with another Dr , sometimes on your own across 3 locations using best practice. It is all primary care with minor emergency for rural town . The locum will be expected to work in the GP practices around Herberton as well, the hospital work is not really that taxing.
