Compensation Grade 1

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Loads and unloads sheets of material onto the spools of the Intermediate Mill or, plates and pucks onto the conveyor of the Meco Mill.2. Assists in the inspection of the material being rolled, measuring thickness and rolling width3. Where applicable, inserts material protecting device during operation4. Assists in roll changes and welds leader ends. 5. Assist troubleshooting of equipment problems6. Inspects material to ensure product adheres to specifications outlined by the production order and notifies the supervisor of any problems and/or material defects. 7. Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintains high quality standards.8. Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition daily by following 5S standard work practices.
