The virtual care nurse supports clinical care for patients, whether in acute care units, critical care units, ED, advanced care at home or remote patient monitoring programs. This role partners with bedside nursing teams to enhance ability to provide professional nursing care. The virtual nurse utilizes observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness.
