Registered Nurse

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a specialty medical/surgical unit. This fast-paced unit provides growth in professional knowledge and expertise in cardiovascular patient care. Staff will care for specialty patients such as stable heart and lung transplants and Ventricular Assist Devices. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with rare instances of 1:7 at night. Traveling nurses should be prepared to float frequently to meet staffing needs. Must have proven experience in managing cardiac drips and interpreting dysrhythmias. All staff are expected to engage in team collaborations that include care techs, transport teams, and LPNs as required. Weekend shifts are required: 4 out of 8 possible weekend shifts in a 4-week period. Travelers are required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays. This facility is 100% nicotine-free.
