Unit Notes
Department: MedSurg Peds RN
*Certifications Required: BLS, PALS*
NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT
FIT TESTING / FACIAL HAIR- Please note, if a clinician for this facility has facial hair, they will be required to pass the either the Primary or Secondary fit test (3M Aura 1860 sm or reg/3M 1870+). If unable to pass - A Portacount test would be required, which CANNOT be completed on clinicians with facial hair & PAPR CANNOT be completed on site solely due to failing because of facial hair - contract would be canceled if facial hair cannot be removed.
- # of Beds: 17 beds - 14 inpatient, 3 observation
- Nurse:Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4, Nights: 1:5
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Peds. UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, COPD
- Are RNs required to titrate drips? No
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Electrolytes, hypertensive medications, diuretics - do not titrate hypertensive/hypotensive medications - rarely have diur...
