POSITION SUMMARY

The Emergency Department Clinical Educator is an excellent clinician who assists the Adult and Transitional Care leadership team in providing educational support to staff, patients and families. Works in collaboration with the medical and hospital staff to provide multidisciplinary care of patients. Utilizing knowledge of educational needs in a healthcare environment and adult learning principles, the Emergency Department Clinical Educator provides for the development of selected core curriculum, program planning and clinical oversight for new and existing staff. Has instructional responsibilities to improve the quality of care and applies good verbal and non-verbal skills to achieve service goals of good clinical outcomes, customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.
