OB RN:
Our Mother baby nurses provide care to our mother/baby dyad. Nurses assist with breastfeeding, routine post-partum care of the mom and normal newborn care. The unit consist of 25 beds across two campuses. The support person is encouraged to stay with Mom and baby to promote bonding and family centered care.
Summary:
The Clinical Nurse IV practices at the level of an expert practitioner of nursing as defined by Benner, P. (1984). From Novice to Expert. Addison-Wesley Publishing Company.
