Rig Mechanic required on contract basis for 12 months.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric (Preferred)
• Minimum 7 years overall field experience in oil and gas drilling rigs
• Minimum 5 years experience as a rig mechanic

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Install facility machinery and perform regular maintenance and repairs on drilling rig and camp equipment—including engines, compressors, draw works, rotary table, mud pumps, hydraulic systems, solid control equipment, and vehicles such as cranes, trucks, forklifts.
2. Assist in dismantling, packaging and preparation of mechanical equipment for rig moves and re‑assembly at new locations.
3. Assist with the planned maintenance program for rig and camp mechanical equipment and instrumentation.
4. Diagnose equipment breakdowns or malfunctions and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
