Overview
A Retail Assistant provides excellent customer service and supports the day-to-day operations of a retail store. The role involves assisting customers, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide product information, advice, and recommendations.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns efficiently.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
- Upsell or cross-sell products to meet sales targets.
- Inform customers about promotions, discounts, or loyalty programs.
Merchandising and Inventory
- Replenish shelves and ensure products are displayed attractively.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries.
