Job Description: The role is responsible for independently or under the supervision of senior therapists, all respiratory therapy interventions, taking into consideration the patient’s best interest.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care procedures as per established policies and procedures, under the direction of senior staff and physicians.
• Assume responsibility for operating autonomously, utilizing critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Notify senior staff or supervisors of material shortages at the earliest convenience and order replenishments when necessary.
• Participate in the development and modification of respiratory care management, plans, and therapeutic goals for patients with cardiopulmonary diseases in consultation with physicians.
• Assist the physician and Code Team in cardiac/respiratory arrest situations.
• Provide advanced emergency airway care according to the approved protocol.
