Salary

$76,000 to $130,000 per annum, plus KiwiSaver contribution in addition to base salary.

Responsibilities

• Assume resource consent processing in geographical & streamline teams or building consent plan checks.
• Use planning expertise to assess varied resource consent applications and recommend high quality outcomes.
• Attend Council hearings as a reporting planner and, for intermediate and senior planners, represent Council as an expert witness.
• Support the Team Leader with mentoring and development of junior planners, and occasionally act as second‑in‑command or review and decide on resource consents under delegation (senior).
• Participate in the council’s training and support system.
