Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Research Engineer familiar with arc welding and joining processes to join our Advanced E-beam and Arc Joining Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing processes, robotic toolpaths, setting up machines, and optimizing processes on the shop floor.
Responsibilities:
Develop end-to-end joining and additive manufacturing solutions (parameters, deposition strategies), including required pre-processing and post-processing, for laser, e-beam and arc-based processes, brazing and soldering for cladding, repair, manufacturing and remanufacturing applications
Perform material evaluation (e.g. microstructural and defects analysis) and material testing, as well as the necessary sample preparation and heat treatment for the processed parts
Operate robotic and/or CNC systems for welding and DED processes
